Rub a dub---That made me laugh out loud.
Another favorite of mine is A Few Good Men. "You can't handle the truth".
(We are catching up on the "R" movies that we have missed through the years)

I like all types:
Romance: Sleepless in Seattle, Romancing the stone, An affair to remember. The Notebook (anything with Cary Grant or Tom Hanks)
Action/Adventure: Lord of the Rings, Indy movies, Top Gun, Mr. Mrs Smith, All of James Bond!! True lies
Scary: Nightmare on Elm Street, The Others.
There's just too much!! Oh---Minimus--I like 9-11 movies too, has anyone seen "Who killed the electric car?" GREAT. I will shut up now. Meow
at the wednesday night ministry school meeting, a letter from the society was read announcing that wtbts paperbacked publications will begin to be laminated.
according to the letter, this "will save approximately 2 million dollars per year," "lengthen the life of the publications," and "increase the attractiveness" of the publications.. so there's that.. .
also, will someone please explain to me why 85% of the congregation started smiling and nodding at this.. i sometimes think that headquarters could send the congregations boxes of turds and the jws would act like it was the best thing ever..
I agree with heathen. Headquarters will now ask for MORE donations for new laminating machines. They should look at HSN. So much for simplifying things!! Do any of you remember the pink song book? They had a deluxe one that was soft leather (I think) and had gold edging on it. As a kid I would try to scrape off the gold. (I thought it was real) I used too think that the brothers and sisters who had these "deluxe" copies were somehow more special.

A very pretty Rita Hayworth
i was a chaperone for my daughter's out-of-town volleyball tournament last weekend - got to meet another mom that had grown up in the same area i grew up in.
she proceeded to ask about my childhood, etc.
and i had to spill the beans on my jw background (i usually keep this to myself!
I agree with everyone on this. The last funeral I attended at the hall was very insensitive. The sister died from some agressive form of cancer. She was dead in six months and she was only 50. She was a very sweet person and a great mother. The talk that was given was ten minutes of her personal life that included the date of her baptism and another 20 minutes of the "Adam to Armageddon talk". At the back of the hall there was a table with the latest publications on it. This was for any "worldy" people that showed. What is really sad is that is wasn't always like that. When my grandpa died many years ago the talk was very personal and touching. Of course they talked about the paradise earth---but it was encouraging. There were no other subjects of doctrine discussed. Don't you feel the love?

what are some strange things that have happened to you in fs?i remember accompying a sister 20 years my senor in the door to door.she started slipping on the ice=i reached out to help her and got 2 handfulls of breast.she proceeded to hold my arm and give me this lustful look with her tongue showing.talk about uncomfortable..
There are too many to post!! Here's just a couple:
We always had to go out in service on Saturdays and one morning I wasn't feeling well---my mom made me go anyway---I ended up vomiting on someones front lawn. I was horrified!! To a teenage girl this is about the worst thing that could happen.
Another classic---stepping in dog poo and trying to get it off your shoe with wadded up kleenex from your service bag. This never works. Try getting back in the car group with that smell!!! Atleast I was taken back to my car at the hall. I ended up putting my shoes in the trunk. Good times.
anyone else hate this practice?
uve been sitting all day 4 three days @ this place and u just wanna hurry up and finish ur cleaning assignment so u can go out to eat w/ ur friends, but bro.
special speaker from bethel/or do has to give a one man symposium during his prayer recapping every single moment of the past 3 days.. its like they have this formula that they use to determine how long a prayer should be.
By the end of the convention my feet were in soooo much pain from wearing high heels. I know it was not "smart" to wear heels but I wanted to look cute!!! I would shuffle my weight from one foot to the other during the prayer and would usually end up losing my balance!! I finally would just sit down. It makes this cat want to yowl!!
a non-jw friend in a southern state has close ties to a jw with a late teen-aged son.
this son is pioneering during late hours, meaning 11 pm to 2 am.
i'm told his car group calls on, among others, convenience store workers where they apparently have much idle time on their hands.
I know of a rest stop on interstate 5 where they witness in the early hours. Can you imagine coming out of the restroom and being approached by some religious nut? It's a good way of getting punched if you ask me!! Not very safe!!
